Update Custom Attributes and Wholesale Prices using Product Uploader

Product Uploader now supports the ability to download and bulk-update product custom attributes and wholesale prices.

Support for Product custom attributes - Customers may have products with custom attributes (size, color, and so on) that require updates from time to time. Marketplace managers can now use Product Uploader to bulk-update these attribute values. However, the attribute key and name that are defined on the Custom Attributes page (Manage > Marketplace > Settings > Custom UI | Custom Attributes.) cannot be changed using Product Uploader.

Bulk-update Wholesale Prices - Wholesale price configuration is required to onboard sales agents to use Opportunities and Quotes. Marketplace Managers may also need to update wholesale pricing across multiple products and product editions. These are recurring processes, so manually updating pricing information is time-consuming and inefficient. Using this new capability, Marketplace Managers can easily download and bulk-update pricing.

To update the custom attribute values or wholesale prices:

1. Open Product Uploader. Go to Manage > Marketplace > Products > CATALOG | Product Uploader.
2. Click Download Products. In the Product Section, select one of the following:
   • Product Custom Attributes
   • Wholesale Prices
3. Click Download. The Product File is created and displayed in the Activity Log pane.
4. To download the product file, select the line that contains your file and click the download icon.
5. Update the wholesale prices or the custom attribute values in the downloaded file.
6. After making the changes, click Update Products. In the Update field, select Product Custom Attributes or Wholesale Prices, depending on the product information you want to update.
7. Click Upload to upload the updated. CSV file.

Feature enablement

The capability to update Wholesale Prices using Product Uploader is not enabled by default. Contact your AppDirect technical representative to request it.
